  • Global financial developments: December 2008

In a similar vein to the previous post, looking ahead to December and again taking a configuration from the calendar:

"From 5th to 16th there is a T-square involving Sun, Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Uranus."

This is likely to be a major crisis point, hopefully a turning point and a rallying point, but it has the potential to be very stressful and tense, with excessive use of 'yang' tactics - forcefulness, aggression, imposition of will.

Pluto will once again be in Capricorn by this point, and the expected financial summits of global leaders will have taken place.

Beware if they come out of their meetings cheerleading their glory before the above dates: they're likely to find the stinky stuff hitting the fan and making them look ridiculously incompetent (as if they don't already....).

  • Global financial developments: November 2008

Last year on the Astrology for the 21st Century website a calendar for 2008 was published with details of this year's astrological configurations on it.  November 2008's entry reads:

"From 2nd to 5th there is a T-square involving Venus, Saturn, and Uranus.  Around 11th there is an important configuration involving Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus."

The Saturn-Uranus opposition is the aspect that correlates with the current issues around the 'crisis of capitalism' and the 'crisis of the West'.  The T-square and the other configuration show dates when it's likely that key developments will take place in this crisis.

The first one - the T-square - is more likely to be a stress-producing or stress-caused event.  It will require things to be got to grips with and actively managed.

The second one is more likely to be a stabilisation of the crisis, and holds the potential for long-awaited working co-operation to yield extremely good results.  That doesn't mean there won't be a further unfolding of crisis during this configuration, it just means that there is likely to be a totally different feel and outlook to whatever is going on at the time.
