The Live Earth concerts began today in Australia. In this blog entry I wanted to look at the star parans, which form the background to collective and local events.

The way these work is a bit different to what is usually discussed here; as well as calculating the chart of the concert, timed for the minute it started, to use star parans we also look at the period of the time in which the event falls.
