"A record number of people in England and Wales went insolvent between July and September, official figures show."
Insolvencies have increased by 5.7% on the previous quarter and a whopping 55.4% on the same period last year.
Forecasts by economists are that bankruptcy levels could break the 100,000 barrier for the first time ever this year, with second quarter insolvency rates also well above the 25,000 mark.
